Meet the Artist
Hi, I'm April, the artist behind April Kinder Art.
My passion for art came from my late father, Guy Kinder, who was an artist himself and inspired me to see the world creatively from a young age.
Although art was always a huge part of my life, I actually didn't plan to be an artist. Instead, I went on to study music at university. Life, however, had other plans. After developing a significant hearing impairment in my early twenties, I found myself returning to art during one of the most challenging periods of my life. Creating became a source of comfort, purpose, and joy, and it reminded me of something I had always found happiness in.
Today, I create bespoke commissions and original artwork with the hope of bringing that same joy to others. There's nothing more rewarding than knowing a piece I've created will be treasured for years to come.
Alongside my own artwork, I also love helping others discover their creativity - whether they're complete beginners or experienced artists - this is one of the most fulfilling parts of what I do.

My Approach
For me, creating art is about much more than achieving a realistic likeness. It's about noticing the little details that make every subject unique - the curious head tilt, a favourite expression, or the sparkle in their eyes. Those are the moments that bring an artwork to life.
I work patiently and thoughtfully, taking the time to ensure every piece feels personal, authentic, and something you'll be proud to display for years to come.
